Trident Exhibitions announce major new Show acquisition
& launch brand new event
As from today’s date, Trident Exhibitions Limited of Tavistock, Devon has acquired and become the new owner of the Stitch & Creative Crafts Show series of exhibitions and events that take place throughout the UK. Previously part of Nationwide Exhibitions’ portfolio, the Stitch & Creative Crafts Shows have evolved to become the leading events in their field. They provide an excellent showcase for exhibitors to demonstrate their products and discuss with visitors all aspects of stitch-craft, sewing, card making, patchwork, quilting and many more popular stitch and creative crafts and hobbies.
Managing Director of Trident Exhibitions’ Helen Thewlis, said ‘this acquisition represents a fabulous opportunity for Trident to progress and expand upon an already successful show series. The overall stitching and creative crafts market in the UK is worth an estimated £980 million, with over 1 million active and very keen participants, many of whom visit Stitch & Creative Crafts Shows regularly. This is a different direction for Trident Exhibitions and we are all looking forward to this new and exciting challenge.’
As a demonstration of Trident’s expansion plans for these shows, the company is delighted to announce an addition to the existing schedule. This brand new Stitch & Creative Crafts Show will take place at the stunning world-class conference and exhibition center at Doncaster Racecourse. The show dates are 16th – 18th November 2007 and Trident confidently predicts another successful show that will bring the ethos of the Stitch & Creative Crafts Show to this part of the UK for the first time.
With the new Doncaster announcement, Trident’s Stitch & Creative Crafts Show series now has 10 events, scheduled as follows:
